New Forest Adventure Golf Course

First Visit to the Site

We were approached by The Lymington Golf Centre to supply and install their artificial grass for their new project: The New Forest Adventure Golf.

During our first visit first visit we walked around the site, met the team and decided what the surfaces will be and where. We work within construction safety standards, have a full health and safety folder, have CSCS cards and are CIS Registered.

Second visit to the site

During our second visit we could see more progress and they lay out had started to take shape. Using the plans set out by the architect, we measurred the site for the artificial grass installation.

Starting the process of lining and cutting the artificial turf

All contours and roll of the ball were considered whilst making sure the turf is undulated and smooth. We could see that the course was going to  be a great place for people to enjoy.

All weather glues ensure we can glue in wet weather, however, we were very pleased to have sunshine throughout the lay process.

Sunny weather ensures good progress

Sunny weather continues throughout the lay process. We worked alongside other trades to ensure the deadline was met. We met Gary Orange and his fantastic chainsaw carving expertise. He designed and cut 3 different shapes into the wood that represent animals within the New Forest. This is Gary and the Oak tree he was in the process of deigning. You can see an Owl starting to take shape.

Progress

The course is staring to look like a golf course now. We used three different grades of grass, the putting being the shorted to ensure a good roll of the ball. Using three different grades also enhanced the beauty of the course. With only a 2 week window, we completed all the greens. Just to lay the surrounds now and make sure the course opens on its deadline.

The finished project

A beautiful high specification course, with challenging areas. Great for all the family.  It was a pleasure to work with such a dedicated team and create a wonderful space for people and tourism in Lymington. The course has been designed to enhance peoples knowledge of the The New Forest, and every time we visit we can see new additions added to the course.
